Rules & Tech

Safety Rules

Merritt Stock Car Association Safety Rules will be in affect for every car hitting the track.

Most Safety Rules are pretty basic; roll cage welds must be in good shape, window nets on the drivers side, windshield rock bars must be adequate.

Each driver must have a SNELL 2015+, Neck restraint device (donut style at a minimum) and a SFI rated fire suit (or treated coveralls)

Car Build Rules

You run your home track rules. If you are legal at your home track, then you are able to run your car. Please have a copy of your home track rules printed off with you, just in case there are any questions.

Our most Frequently asked question is the difference between a bandit and a outlaw. Bandits (Hornet Cars) are meant to be completely stock 4cyl cars, there are no modifications allowed. The maximum factory spec combined HP & Torque is 295, if your car is over that it is considered an Outlaw.
